Depilex Smile again Foundation organizes workshop to rehabilitate the burn victims

Recently attended a Psycho-social workshop for the rehabilitation of the burnt victims, organized by Depilex Smileagain Foundation. Although invited by the foundation a couple of times before but unfortunately unable to attend any such event due to my ever busy routine. This time I tried to make it no matter what.  The event was held at Amanah mall. 17 burnt victims from the province of the Punjab attended the workshop. To the surprise of many of us One of the burnt victims Salma Arif hosted the event.



The noteworthy guests were Ms. Ruby Gul (Philip Morris International), Dr. Huma (Assistant professor at dept. of Psychiatry, University College of Medicine and Dentistry University of Lahore).  Dr. Sadia. (Consultant psychiatrist  and Director of the Center of Center for Psychiatry and Neurology Hamilton Ontario Canada).     Dr. Afzal Bajwa (Plastic and  reconstructive surgeon, MYO hospital), and dr. Rana Idrees (UNO Technical Consultant for clean drinking water).









Dr. Sadia conducted an interactive session with the burnt victims whereas Dr. Afzaal Bajwa delivered a lecture on medical issues of the burnt victims. Motivation is of utmost importance for such victims as rehabilitation is not such an easy task. Dr. Rana Idrees delivered a motivational speech for the victims that clearly enhances their enthusiasm and vigour. 


During the event 4 burnt victims(Saira Sabir, Josephine, Naureen, Sarwari) shared their success stories with the audience. 





Olomopolo media conducted musical session with the burnt victims. Mr. Tariq Mehmood from Hunarkada presented comedy performance for the entertainment. The event ended on the note of thanks by Masarrat Misbah (President Depilex Smileagain Foundation)



The purpose of this event was to raise awareness among the public about the heinous crime of acid throwing and to encourage the burnt victims to build their confidence so that they live their life as normal beings in the society.

Next session of The Circuit Box will start next week!


 Last week attended a social meet and greet session held at Structure Gym at Zafar Ali Khan Road Lahore. This session was meant to introduce TCB or The Circuit Box challenge to the representatives of the digital media community. Juggun Kazim was the celebrity face of the recent session of TCB. Xiaomi brings Redmi 4X to Pakistan in partnership with Smartlink Technologies



With the launch of Redmi 4X  , Xiaomi demonstrates its commitment to the market

One of the world’s leading technology company Xiaomi launches Redmi 4X in Pakistan on Saturday through distribution partner SmartLink Technology. The launch event took place in Lahore on Friday and was hosted by none other than the witty Taimur Salahuddin AKA Mooroo.

Audiences were provided a double dose of entertainment with the hilarious jokes of Mooroo and scintillating performances by Pakistan’s leading band Noori and Nescafe Basement band with Altamash Sarver who made audiences dance to their favourite tracks. The stunning Mira Sethi also made a special guest appearance who was all praises for the newly launched Smartphone, equipped with the latest technology at an affordable price.

Smartlink Technologies Marketing Director Ahmed Butt was quoted as saying, “Majority of the Pakistani consumers prefer to purchase smartphones remaining in this price bracket and thus this bracket has always remained a key market for all brands. Every Redmi 4X will ship with MIUI 8 which builds in several technology breakthroughs such as being able to clone apps and manage multiple accounts on the same phone. This means that users can have two instances of a messaging app on the same phone that correspond to different accounts, removing the inconvenience of having to log in and out on the same app. With MIUI 8, users can also split their smartphones into two accounts. Stageline Brings Hair and Makeup MasterClass by Amna Z

Stage Line Cosmetics is a name fast becoming popular in beauty and the cosmetics industry. Stageline Cosmetics always comes up with events that are worth attending and introduces something worthwhile in our make-up options. Stage Line Cosmetics formally launched in Pakistan in November 2016 and has in a very short span of time established a loyal following amongst customers, make-up enthusiasts and experts. Opium Launches Opium Wok Rice and Noodle Bar with fanfare

Food is an obsession and, I am always very eager to check out new eateries. When it comes to Thai Food not many know the real essence it takes to make and serve authentic Thai food. Opium Chinese and Thai is fastly making inroads and a tough competitor when we talk about quality fine dining and authentic taste regarding Chinese and Thai food. Recently Opium Chinese and Thai has opened Opium Wok Rice and Noodle Bar.

Keeping in line with the international standards, Opium has launched the Opium Wok for those who want to be more engaged in the process of food selection. At the Opium Wok, the customers can just walk up to the bar and have a customized rice or noodle bowl prepared right in front of their eyes by the best chefs and experts in the area of Thai and Chinese cuisine. The kitchen is an open space where the chefs prepare the food right before the customer engaging them in the process of food preparation.

The launch event took place on the 17th of March at Opium Chinese and Thai and proved to be a huge success with socialites, celebrities and representatives of multiple publications in attendance. Verdict: I ordered the brown rice bowl with Thai gravy. I was really happy that I found the place where I could order brown rice. So no worries with health and dieting issues. They are sorted as I love to eat rice. The gravy was succulent but very spicy. As I ordered Thai food so there was no issue of being spicy as it had to be. The quantity in the for the likes of me is ok as I have less appetite but for those who are ordering for dinner purposes or for 'Lahoris', (wink wink)  it's a bit less. For me, it's 9/10. Do visit Opium Thai and order from Opium Wok as it not only serves good and authentic food at a good price but also offers a wow ambiance.

Who does not love toys?  I am sure we all do. whenever I go shopping for toys, I get immersed into the beautiful world of memories but always encounter one problem. The problem is that the toys are part of a book or stationery shop and it is difficult to sort out the toy of my choice and not to mention the few options that we have. But gone are the days, now we have specific shops for toys as The Entertainer is here. Now we have the stores which have different sections of toys with different price tags according to our budget and needs.
